Radiologic Physics


International Graduates

Physicists who have graduated from programs outside the United States must satisfy all of the requirements for eligibility listed on the ABR website for radiologic physics (Requirements). To obtain a formal opinion regarding your qualifications for ABR certification, you must send:

  1. A completed registration
  2. International candidates holding only non-United States (U.S.) degrees must provide documentation that their foreign degrees are equivalent to those granted from an approved institution in the U.S. and that the granting institution is equivalent to a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. Please refer to the ABR-approved Credentials Evaluation Organizations for information on the process for providing this documentation through utilization of approved educational credential evaluation services.
  3. Trainer/mentor recommendations
  4. Proof of clinical training/experience under the supervision of a certified medical physics and document of current employment in a medical physics environment.

Any of these documents that is written in a language other that English must be accompanied by English translation.
