FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQs for Initial Exams

1. Did you get my registration/payment?

The day your registration is received, it is entered into our database. Very shortly thereafter, you should get a receipt letter in the mail. Watch for the receipt letter which states that we received your registration and your payment. If you have not received that letter within two weeks of your mailing date, call us to be sure your registration arrived, and that your contact information is up to date.

This will be your only communication from us for a while. We are busy processing your registration, verifying information, waiting for letters from program directors, etc. If we need anything further from you, we will contact you. In most cases, the next letter you receive from ABR will be your invitation to take the exam.

2. I didn't get my invitation. When do you mail them?

Invitations go out about five months before the exam. If you received your receipt letter and we have not needed to contact you (e.g., because we need further information), that means things are moving on schedule. Expect your invitation within the five-month timeframe.

3. When will I get my results?

Written exam results are mailed four to six weeks after the exams. Oral exam results are mailed immediately after the exams.
