Texas Instruments Electronic Calculators

The ABR has made the decision to provide hand-held, Texas Instruments calculators (model TI-30XS) to all candidates taking the Radiation Oncology 2012 examinations at Pearson VUE testing centers. For further information regarding this specific instrument, and to familiarize yourself with its operation, please visit: http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_ti30xs_mv.html. Although the calculator will be provided at the center, it would be prudent to obtain one prior to the test and practice with it.

The ABR has been working with Pearson VUE to provide an improved calculator within the exam software. While Pearson VUE has made significant progress, the calculator is not yet available for use on the ABR exams.

As has always been the case, absolutely no personal electronic, computing, or calculator devices are permitted in the examination areas. You will be issued the hand-held calculator when you sign in at the exam center to take the exam.
