Educational Plan:
</span>
<br />
The diplomate should develop a specific educational plan which relates his/her practice profile, local needs assessment, and self-assessment to a personal agenda for the acquisition of CME, self-assessment modules, and practice quality improvement activities during the MOC cycle.
</p>
<p class="boldgray">
CME (LL/SA CME):
</p>
<ul>
<li>
All must be in Category 1
</li>
<li>
70% or more must be in diagnostic radiology or its subspecialties
</li>
<li>
30% may be in clinically-related general areas or relevant general topics such as risk assessment, ethics, processes of continuous quality improvement, methodologies of measurement outcomes, statistics, etc.
</li>
</ul>
<p class="boldgray">
SAM (LL/SA SAM):
</p>
<ul>
<li>
Four or more SAMs must be non-interpretive skills.
</li>
<li>
Six or more SAMs must be in the specialty-specific or related areas
</li>
<li>
For each subspecialty certificate that a diplomate holds, they need to complete six SAMs that are subspecialty-specific
</li>
<li>
Self-assessment Module (SAM) CME may count toward the CME requirement, as well as fulfilling the SAM requirement.
</li>
<li>
For the purpose of ABR-MOC, time-limited certificate holders are expected to start acquiring CME and SAMs in 2007. In cycles beginning in 2006 and later, there will be no prorating of requirements as the MOC program will be fully implemented.
</li>
</ul>
