Announcements: Former ABR Board Member Receives RSNA 2025 Gold Medal

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has selected Mary C. Mahoney, MD, as one of three recipients of the 2025 Gold Medal. Awarded annually by the RSNA Board of Directors, the Gold Medal is the organization’s highest honor and recognizes individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the science of radiology.
Dr. Mahoney served on the ABR Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2015 and the Board of Governors from 2015 to 2018. She also chaired the ABR Professionalism Committee. She is a former president and chair of the RSNA Board of Directors and a former member of the Board of Chancellors and Executive Committee for the American College of Radiology.
The former Benjamin Felson Endowed Chair & Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati (UC) and Chief of Imaging Services for UC Health, Dr. Mahoney earned her medical degree from the UC College of Medicine and completed her diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship at UC Medical Center.
