These Residents are Primed for a Productive New Year
Abdullah Alshreef, PhD
Medical Physics, Loma Linda University Health
ABMS Scholar

“Through my medical physics residency, I have worked with multidisciplinary teams dedicated to advancing patient care. These experiences have strengthened my technical skills and collaborative approach, shaping my approach to patient care and leadership in the clinic. In the coming year, I look forward to completing my residency, preparing for board exams, and continuing efforts to reduce language and access barriers in medical physics education globally. My goal is to share my clinical skills and clinical research internationally to improve health care in meaningful ways.”
Oluwatimileyin Ojo, MD
Radiation Oncology, Northwell Health
ABMS Scholar

“As I approach the final year of residency, I am looking forward to completing my training and preparing for board certification, milestones that represent both growth and responsibility. In the coming year, I hope to continue developing as an education scholar through initiatives such as the STERO project (Evaluating and Enhancing Systemic Therapy Education in Radiation Oncology Residency Programs), while further strengthening the clinical and professional skills needed to transition into independent practice, particularly in gynecologic oncology. I also look forward to transitioning to an ex-officio role with the ARRO Global Health Subcommittee and continuing my efforts in global radiation oncology. I am also excited to find a role where I can contribute meaningfully to patient care, education, mentorship, and global radiation oncology.”
Pouria Rouzrokh, MD
Diagnostic Radiology, Yale School of Medicine

“My journey into diagnostic radiology residency has been deeply rewarding, and much of that experience is a result of being part of an outstanding program at Yale. I have been fortunate to train in an environment that values clinical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and collaboration, making my time in residency both challenging and fulfilling. At the same time, I have come to appreciate that the program offers far more than what one can experience in a single year. There are many strengths, perspectives, and hidden gems within the residency that I have not yet had the opportunity to fully explore. As I look ahead to the New Year, I am genuinely excited to rotate through new services, work with attendings I have not trained under, and collaborate more closely with co-residents whose approaches and insights I look forward to learning from. I am grateful to have an opportunity to grow further within a program that consistently inspires excellence, curiosity, and camaraderie.”
