MOC Exam (Traditional)
Last verified on October 16, 2020In May 2016, the ABR announced its plan to move away from the traditional 10-year MOC Exam, administered in ABR exam centers, to Online Longitudinal Assessment, or OLA (for more information see the MOC Part 3 page). Diplomates are limited to three attempts if taking the traditional exam to satisfy Part 3 of MOC. Please note: Beginning in 2018, interventional radiology/diagnostic radiology (IR/DR) diplomates who need to take a traditional MOC Exam will take only the IR portion of the IR/DR Certifying Exam. If a Subspecialty MOC Exam is needed, IR/DR diplomates will take the DR Certifying Exam and select the subspecialty area for all elective modules. This exam is needed only in limited situations. Diplomates can check to see if they need to take it by logging in to myABR. Anyone who still has questions may send an email to email@example.com or call (520) 790-2900.
