In these unprecedented times, we have quickly learned to expect the unexpected every day. However, one thing has remained consistent: ABR diplomates’ unwavering OLA participation. Since March 23, we have seen the greatest participation in OLA in a two-week period since it was launched in January 2019, both in the number of users and the number of questions answered.
While we’re grateful that our diplomates see the value in OLA amid all the chaos, we would like to remind everyone about OLA’s tremendous flexibility. First, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to answer questions every week. You only need to answer 52 of the 104 question opportunities that you receive every year and questions are available for four weeks. Check out our recent blog on OLA question availability. These OLA features mean diplomates can forego answering questions for as long as six months each year and still have enough opportunities to fulfill their yearly OLA progress requirement. In addition, diplomates may change the OLA email frequency to something other than weekly using several preset options. After logging in, hover over the username in the upper right corner, then choose “OLA Preferences.” From there, select “Edit” and pick one of the options.
Anyone with questions about OLA or anything related to certification should contact us at information@theabr.org or (520) 790-2900.
