OLA Scoring and Results

Last verified on May 31, 2024

Diplomates participating in OLA must answer a certain number of questions each year to reach their annual progress requirement. For most, this is 52 questions, but it will vary depending on how many certificates are being maintained. Not completing the annual progress requirement leads to forfeited questions.

Part 3 also requires passing an OLA performance evaluation for each maintained certificate every five years. The performance evaluation is based on the most recent 200 questions answered for each maintained certificate. Additionally, each maintained certificate has a certification evaluation date at the end of a five-year cycle. An OLA current cumulative score meeting or exceeding the standard in year five is required to continue maintenance and start the next five-year cycle.
