Continuing Certification (MOC) Requirements

Continuing Certification (MOC) Component Element Compliance Requirement
Professionalism and Professional Standing Licensure1 Must hold a license to practice medicine in a jurisdiction in the United States, its territories, or Canada. All licenses must be unrestricted.
Lifelong Learning CME Must have completed at least 75 Category 1 CME within the last three calendar years.
Assessment of Knowledge, Judgment, and Skill OLA or Continuing Certification Exam Must meet or exceed the standard in a current cumulative score in Online Longitudinal Assessment (OLA) in year five or pass a Continuing Certification Exam in year four or five of the Part 3 cycle.
Improvement in Medical Practice PQI Project or Activity Must have completed at least one PQI Project or Participatory Quality Improvement Activity within the last three calendar years.
1Medical Physics Diplomates Only: Part 1 requires valid, unrestricted licensure if practicing in FL, HI, NY, or TX. Those without licensure must have one available attester as defined by the ABR.
