The three portions of the computer-based Qualifying Exam encompass all aspects of general oncology and radiation oncology, including treatment-planning techniques, physics, radiation and cancer biology, and specifics of all elements of multi-modality cancer care.
The Medical Physics for Radiation Oncology part and the Radiation and Cancer Biology part are administered annually in July. The Clinical Radiation Oncology part (general and radiation oncology) is administered annually in May. Please refer to Exam Breakdown and Timing for additional details about the timing for each exam.
